Northwind Indoor Color Guard Mission statement
Northwind is a competitive, performing arts organization, that is dedicated to provide educational and performance opportunitys, for young men and women ages 14-22 who would like to showcase their talents in the "Pageantry Arts" arena.
To foster friendships, build character, and to educate our performers to have a high level of respect for Teachers, Instructors, Management staff, other performers and other performing groups and the Judging Community. And all that Northwind is affiliated. To continue to act in a professional manor at all times. Continually building positive reinforcement in all of our performers, and to treat everyone, with respect and dignity.
The Northwind Indoor Color Guard is an independent, competitive performing arts organization made up of young people ranging in ages from 14-22. These performers are current High School Students, College Students and recent High School Graduates. Northwind offers a staff of professional instructors who care not only about the performance but also about the performer and about building character in a youngs persons life to help them become a well rounded individual. Northwind is currently a member in good standing with the Following organizations:

| ![]() Philosophy- Northwind believes that color guard is referred to as the "Sport of the Arts". Like any other sport, color guard is physically demanding, competitive, and requires teamwork and self-discipline. Color Guard utilizes, flags, rifles and sabers, along with theatrics and dance to achieve the art of bringing music alive visually. |
